How does this affect you and me? We find these words of comfort, which reflect the hope of the Resurrection in Isaiah 25:8, “He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.” 1 Peter 1:3 also states, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively [living] hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” The hope of the Resurrection for the true Christian is based upon the absolute integrity and dependability of the Bible, of which the Divine Author is a Perfect, Holy God. May God give us spiritual understanding of the true nature and importance of the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
